WOW! Another year gone by. Today, January 28th is my 13th anniversary with my network marketing company. I am reflecting on the past 13 years and remembering all the people who have come and gone.

As I briefly reflect on the ones who were once with me I feel saddened by their loss. They could have stuck with it and experienced the freedom that many of my downline enjoy. When people are fussing about how bad the economy is, I am joyful because I have this business which is actually THRIVING.

So, I BRIEFLY reflect on those no longer here and then turn my attention to those of you who remain in the quest for freedom. I want to express my gratitude for all of you who have stayed with me and are working toward your own goals. I am proud of you. It gives me such joy to see your success.

We all have our issues we have to work through. Fears we have to face head on and then step over or around. My biggest fear was being a leader. That is a HUGE fear in network marketing because if you are to be successful network marketer, you MUST be a leader.

Overcoming that fear was something I had to work on from the very beginning. I knew it would require personal growth and mindset training. To help me with that I started listening to audios and reading books that would help build my confidence. I have made a partial list for those of you who are interested.

Even with all the years of audios and working on my success mindset, I still have had a few fears I was dealing with but last year I started working with a Master Mind Group, founded by Joe Schroeder and Diane Hochman, called the Million Mind March. I am blown away by the progress I have made since joining. The last of my fears have vanished and I am doing things I said I would NEVER have the nerve to do.

The funny thing, people are noticing the change in me. Many of those people are not even involved in network marketing. I have to giggle a bit when I catch people looking at me from a distance as though they are trying to figure it out. Several people have asked me “what is going on with you.”

What is different is that I have become 10 Feet Tall and Bullet Proof. I have found the confidence that was missing. A confidence that has touched every area of my life and is changing the way I do things and lifted blocks and obstacles I thought I’d always be dealing with. All I can say is WOW!!! I can’t wait to see what comes next.

Whatever your fears are in your business, you need to work on personal growth and building a success mindset. That is a KEY to overcoming your fear. Listen to audios, read books and keep on going.

For me, network marketing is the best way to earn a living. It was worth ALL the money spent and time and effort on training and personal growth to get to this point.

I wish you all kinds of Success and Personal Growth,

Are We Having Fun Yet?

Today I saw some new photos uploaded on my MLM company’s Flickr account. At the Corporate Office, they were having a food fight in front of the office building.

Food Fight at Corporate Employees and executives participating together having a blast.

The fun they were having made me think about our business.

One very important element in your business is to make it FUN. It is true that we want to take our business seriously but it is imperative that we have fun while doing that.

Your success depends on it.

You won’t stick with it if you aren’t enjoying what you do.

Having fun and radiating happiness is one way to make the Law of Attraction work in your favor.

As you talk to people and build your business, demonstrate that you are really having a good time. People can tell if you really are enjoying what you do. When you radiate joy and happiness, people want to know what you are doing. Why are you so happy?

When you are having fun and enjoying what you do, it helps you stick with it. Especially in the beginning when you are just beginning to build the business.

As the years pass with your company, you will accumulate experiences that you can share with your downline. I have have been taking pictures of some of my fun times in this business and put together a Team Gallery so distributors and people interested in our business can see what good times we have. I got the idea from Art Jonak. He had Network Marketing Lifestyle Gallery I have been following for years. In my early days I went to Art’s web site to get a motivational boost whenever I would have a down time. I still go there often to see what fun Art and his friends are having.

If you aren’t having fun in your business, re-think that! Go out and MAKE IT FUN!!!

Keeping Motivated

The ups and downs of building a business can be a challenge, especially in the beginning. Even after all these years, I have days where I need a boost to my motivation. My favorite motivational speaker has always been Jim Rohn. I turn on one of my CDs and listen to his humorous style and I really feel better.

Listen to the 3 part video clips below.

Why I am Writing This Blog

Hi! My name is Melodie Kantner. I have been thinking about writing a blog about building home based business for a while. I have been working out of my home for over 14 years. The past 12 years with one network marketing company. Throughout all of those years I have studied with a variety of success trainers.

A lot of the things taught in old school network marketing just don’t fit with everyone’s style. My intent in writing this blog is to help people that are not naturally gifted in sales, build a successful home based business, particularly in network marketing – mlm, but many principles can be applied to any business.

One of the first steps for success in anything is to learn and get better. I like that quotation at the top of the page:

“Network Marketing is the best business to be in for personal growth because your business can only grow to the same level that you do.”

People who are successful in this business are always learning and improving in their skills. Attending whatever events your company offers is one way. I also recommend listening to as many audios as you can. In the beginning my favorite motivational speaker was Jim Rohn. I wore out my tapes and had to replace them on CDs. To this day I still listen to all kinds of audios to keep motivated, to learn new skills and to keep charged up about my business.

It is my hope that you will apply what you learn here and build a successful business.

Let’s get started!

Melodie
