How to Become Human Dynamite & Attract Success

Disciplines of Doership
How To Be 10 Feet Tall and Bullet Proof
By Joe Schroeder

Disciplines of Doership is a book I recently read and I am now re-reading it. It is a book, like “Think and Grow Rich, that I think everyone should read. It really doesn’t matter what goals you are setting out to accomplish, this is a book that will really help you get there.

From page 10 of Disciplines of Doership:
“The fact is, the subconscious mind is more concerned with what you doubt and fear, than what you pretend to “say” that you want. Ever hear the expression, “He talks a good game!” Because that’s all it is. Just talk and not the actual opinion of himself or his truest opinion of himself. Self-image is simply the truest opinion of yourself and if you change your opinion of yourself and change what you agree you are allowed to have and change WHO you agree you are allowed be, the having and receiving will change.

Period! Sounds simple, but it’s not. Why? Because most people have sacrificed themselves by living under the opinions of other people. Other people tell you how much you are worth. Other people have taught you how to react when things go haywire; you get angry and upset probably. Of course you do because you were taught and domesticated to. People think based on how other people taught them to think. What if what you thought CHANGED?

Until you lose the need for affection and validation from those around you it will be hard for things to change. Simply because so far, if you care to confess, you have lived, worked and acted based on what you allowed other people to convince you of as “truth.” But it was THEIR truth, not yours! Fair question, was their truth for you right and are you living a blessed life or cursed?

How come one guy earns $10,000 per week and another earns that in four months? How come the first guy, who makes it per week, never even went to college? The difference is attitude and self-image. Rich or poor everyone is FORCED to prove in public what they secretly believe in private about themselves is most true.”

This book teaches you how to re-program your brain, your self image and self confidence. It is a MUST HAVE for everyone who is serious about their success.

What Economic Crisis?

“We are continually faced by great opportunities brilliantly disguised as insoluble problems.” ~ Lee Iococca

The economy is bad these days. It is effecting people everywhere. I see friends and family suffering and I hear them complaining about their situation. All the while my business is THRIVING.

Network marketing tends to be one type of business that does well in times of economic down times. One reason for that is because people are looking for ways to supplement their income.

Really, the way you look at it has a lot to do with whether your business will thrive or take a dive in a bad economy. I see it in my own downline. Some are thriving and growing their business while some are having their sales volume fall off. The ones who are dropping in sales volume are moaning about how bad the economy is and saying they can’t get anyone to buy anything. They are projecting poverty mentality and it is literally shutting down their business.

Your mindset, the words you use and the energy you radiate have a lot to do with how successful your business will be, especially in a bad economy.

When I began my network marketing career, over 13 years ago, I was going through a tough time financially. My energy and belief was at a really low point. At the time, I was also a struggling artist doing art shows and selling Rainbow Cleaning Systems on the side. Both of those involved sales. Both of those I was failing miserably at.

At the time I hadn’t yet learned about mindset and the power of the Law of Attraction. I just knew I couldn’t sell anything if my life depended on it. I was radiating the energy of desperation which actually repelled buying customers.

Since that time I have spent a lot of time learning about how the words we use, the emotions and the energy we radiate effects how successful we will be. If we are worrying about the economy and how expensive things are, that sends an energy that actually repels sales. This is not the energy we want if we are intending to build a successful business.

It is important to have a strong belief in your business and your products. Not only that, but you also need to realize and BELIEVE that you have a potential solution for many people’s economic crisis.

Some of the greatest growth in this industry happens when the economy is bad. Are you going to see this as an opportune time to build your business or are you going to join the masses and be paralyzed with fear?

Hey, why not check out the Super Simple Marketing Series and give your business a kick in the pants?

“Visualize this thing that you want, see it, feel it, believe in it. Make your mental blue print, and begin to build.” – Robert Collier

It’s really not a big secret but some people can’t seem to see it. We all create our future, no matter if we have failure or success. It all depends on what we focus on.

VisualizationVisualize your goals as a reality.

Imagine what your life will be like once you accomplish your goals. Your mind cannot tell the difference between something that you vividly imagine and what is real.

When you vividly imagine your goals as though you have already achieved them, your subconscious mind will begin to recognize and attract all the resources you need to make your goal a reality. The more vivid your visualization, the more effectively this works.

After setting some goals and WRITING THEM DOWN, Visualizing your future is a big key to success in any goal.

4 Keys To Visualization

    Frequency
    Feel the Emotion
    Vivid Detail
    Duration

I want to tell you a little experience I had with visualization. I took a Law of Attraction class several years ago. One of the classes was on getting a mental picture of what we wanted for the future. She had us think of something that represented abundance for us. Picture something that you would think someone with the kind of abundance you want would have, or something you would be doing. For me it was a champagne colored Lexus. Not that I really wanted a Lexus but when I thought of having abundance, a Lexus is what came to mind.

When we started the exercise, the instructor asked for a volunteer. She asked the volunteer to picture in his mind something that symbolized abundance for him. He said a red Ferrari.

She started asking him questions drawing him out and trying to get to the feeling underneath his choice. WHY the Ferrari? She had him close his eyes and picture it. What are you feeling as you drive around in your Ferrari? After several questions and drawing him out she got to the underlying emotion that he was really wanting in his life. The feeling that the red Ferrari symbolized.

As I listened to that man go through that, I realized what my underlying emotion was. I wanted FREEDOM! Freedom from crappy jobs working for people I didn’t respect, freedom from the work schedule, freedom from living in scarcity & not having enough money. So, for me, the Lexus represented freedom.

Next, the instructor had us visualize our chosen symbol. If it was a car, picture the color, walk around it, kick the tires, run your hands over it, open the door, get in and sit in it, smell the leather, turn on the radio, start it up and go for a drive. All the while noticing the feelings you are having. She recommended going into more detail with it. Visualize yourself washing the car, driving to different places and visualize how people react to you.

Anyway, you get the idea. Be as vivid in detail and intensity as you can. Really focus in on the emotion you are after. For me it was the feeling of freedom.

Here’s the neat thing. I did this exercise every day for months even though I didn’t really understand how it worked. I just thought I was putting myself in an attracting energy. Well, it’s true that I was doing that but much more was happening.

Fast forward a few months . . .

Remember that clunker van I mentioned? I had decided it was time to get something better. I had been reading a book by Wallace D. Wattles. Something he said made me decide to get a better car. I wanted a used car but one only a few years old so off to find one.

After looking around for a couple weeks, my husband and I drove to a dealership where we had seen a Toyota Avalon listed. That car was only a couple years old but it had been beat to hell and it was a mess. No way on that one but just 3 cars down from it sat this beautiful champagne colored Lexus. It was a couple years older than the Avalon but it looked like a brand new car. We test drove it. Oooooooooh My!!! What a ride!

We bought that car, so I ended up with a 5 year old Lexus. On the way home, riding in my newly purchased Lexus it hit me. This is the exact car I had been visualizing for months. Exactly. The color the model, everything. I started to cry. I couldn’t contain myself. The emotion of what I had created in my life, not just the car but it was about that time that my husband retired from his job and joined my full time in my business. Not only that but my son Brandon, who was 23 at the time also quit his job and went full time in his network marketing business. I tell you, it still brings tears of joy to my eyes.

Visualize Freedom I realized that my life was changing and it was entirely because I wanted freedom and I was determined to get it. I took my goals and my visualization seriously. Freedom is what I wanted and freedom is what I got.

At the time I did the visualizing daily thinking, “I’ll try it, it’s free, what if it works?” Today I am a firm believer in visualizing your goals.

Oh by the way, my son Brandon also visualized a Lexus in his future. Guess what kind of car he drives today.

So, I urge you to visualize your dreams . . .

Frequently – Visualize as often as you can. Whenever you have a moment, close your eyes and spend some time with it. I like to visualize before falling asleep at night. Sometimes I wake up in the night. I use a few minutes to visualize as I fall back to sleep.

Feel the Emotion – The more emotion you can feel while visualizing the better.

Vivid Detail – The clearer you goal is in your mind’s eye, the more power it will have on your subconscious mind. When your every detail of your attained goal becomes absolutely clear in your mind you will be very close to achieving it.

Duration – The longer you can hold an image of your attained goal in your mind the better.

When you combine all of these four keys you begin to activate all of your subconscious powers to move you, drive you toward accomplishing your goal.

Leave me a comment and tell me your favorite visualizations and if you have had any come true.

Wishing you Abundant Success,

Melodie Kantner

Failure Is Nothing To Fear

Failure to some may seem unacceptable. Fear of failure is often what paralyzes a person in their network marketing business or any other project they want to have success in.

Failure is actually not such a bad thing. Think about Thomas Edison. He is often brought up as an example of how we can view failure as stepping stones as we make progress.

When asked about the frustration of all his failures he responded, “I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward…I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”

It’s not the failure but how we react to failure that determines whether or not we will achieve success. Are we going to learn from each failure and make the necessary adjustments and keep going?

Let me make one thing clear. I am not talking about jumping from one mlm program to another. I am talking about making adjustments within the program you are working and stay with that program until you are successful.

In the beginning as you are learning to communicate about your business, you make a lot of mistakes and you don’t feel comfortable. Sometimes you feel like an utter failure, but practice makes perfect. As you get better at your business, you actually love what you are doing. People see this and are drawn to you. It is a cycle of success that grows with time and practice.

The same goes for the various types of advertising you use. There are a lot of factors that effect what kind of ads you will use. One example is direct mailing with postcards. In the beginning of building my business I did a lot of postcard mailing. I have had great success using this method. I have also seen distributors in my group fail miserably at it. The biggest reason they failed is because they mailed a batch or two of postcards and didn’t get the results they wanted so the quit. No testing different ads no adjustments were made, they just quit!

Here’s another good quote from Thomas Edison: “Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”

Success requires failure, making adjustments and finding the way that works for YOU.

I like the way Joe Schroeder says it, “You don’t have to get it right, you just have to get it going.”

So, go out and fail, knowing that you are one step closer to success.

Hey! We all have those, don’t we? I’m talking about emotional down times. You know the kind I mean. I’m talking about those times when we just don’t feel like doing anything. Maybe we have been through some crazy times in our personal life or with family members or maybe we are burned out because of a project that consumed a lot of time or maybe it’s all of the above. Sometimes you just get overwhelmed or just plain discouraged.

Recently I went through a one of those down times and it got me thinking about how people handle those down times. I have been in my primary company for 13 years and I have had many periods of down time. We all have ups and downs and that will be reflected in how productive we are at building our business. The important thing is not to slide backwards because of it.

The thing I want to talk to you about is what are you doing with your down time. For me, down time does not mean everything comes to a screeching halt. I ALWAYS do a few things to keep things moving forward. I have a plan of action for those times and I recommend you also have a plan in mind for those times.

Here are a few important things to keep on top of:

    1. Check Email and RESPOND to people asking questions.

    2. Return phone calls.

    3. Check in on Facebook and do minimal tasks like accepting friend requests and RESPOND to direct messages.

    4. Check in DAILY with your company back office. Keep tabs on what is happening in your business.

    5. If you have new members, you need to contact them. Even if it’s just sending an email welcome, don’t neglect that.

I have seen it often in my downline where people go through their down times and they let everything stop. If you are really serious about your business, you must not let things come to a screeching halt. You must do at least a minimal effort to keep momentum going.

Whenever I hit one of those down times I don’t let myself
stay there long. Sometimes you need a little time to take a break,
but not too long. ; )
If you take too long, it is harder to get back on track.

If you have let things come to a stop during a down time, don’t beat yourself up about it. Just pick up, dust yourself off and take a step forward.

Here are a few things I like to do to help myself out of emotional down times:

    1. Listen to music: motivating uplifting music that picks up your mood.

    2. Listen to uplifting and motivating audios. Jim Rohn audios kept me going in down times. I still listen to those. Now I listen to Joe Schroeder and Diane Hochman Million Mind March audios. Those are AWESOME!!!

    3. Curl up with a good book. People today aren’t reading enough. It’s really good for the mind and the emotional state and a great way to relax.

    4. Go for a walk. Do some exercise. Exercise really can help things emotionally and you just seem to feel more positive and motivated.

    5. EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique. If you have been reading my newsletters for any length of time, you have heard me mention EFT. It is really powerful tool in dealing with the emotional side of your business.

A couple of EFT resources I use regularly:

Click Here for the EFT Audio Series Money Beyond Belief – These EFT sessions laser focus on your energy blocks to abundance. Removing these blocks will help you build your Young Living Business. I have bought all Brad Yates audios and I have found them very powerful in shifting my energy.

We all have our ups and downs. It’s what we do during the down times that determine the level of success we will have. So keep at it and keep your head up.

I wish you loads of forward moving success,

The Secret of Success Starts With . . .

Success in any endeavor, starts with a goal. The only way to have a profitable business is to set goals and take action. Do the necessary things to produce profits. An average person with clearly defined, written goals will run circles around a genius without them.

Goals and a plan are what guide you. Average people do not have a plan. They react to the economy and get caught up in worry that paralyzes them. When you are not working from a plan, you end up spinning your wheels.

Know your WHY
Part of setting up goals is to know WHY you are doing this. What do you want to accomplish?

Be Specific
Set goals that actually mean something. Don’t just set a goal that you want to earn more money. The goals must be specific and you must write them down. If your goal is income related, don’t just say I want more income. Make is specific. Let’s say, an income goal of earning $2,000 a month in your network marketing business. Set a time frame or a deadline in which you can realistically accomplish that goal. I like to set a time frame, then work to beat my time frame. If you miss your deadline, simply reset the deadline and keep working on it. Sometimes things happen that effect your timeline. If that happens, no biggie, just reset the deadline and keep moving toward it.

Set Smaller Goals as Stepping Stonesgoals1b
Once you decide what goals you have, the next step is to set small goals that are stepping stones to get you to your bigger goals. If your goal is an income amount, what are you going to do to make it happen. What daily activities are you going to do to get you there. Write down those goals too. I used to be in the habit of making a list of monthly goals every month on the first of the month. I still do that but I do it a little differently.

Make a Plan of ACTION
Make a list of all the things you will do take steps toward reaching your goal. Use as many details as possible.

Examples:
How many people do you want to talk to every day or every week?
How many business cards, flyers or other promotional pieces will you give out?
How many Drop Cards will you leave?
How many postcards will you mail?
How many Wellness Reports Newspapers will you pass out?
How many Social Media contacts will you make?
How many articles will you write?
How many emails will you respond to?
How many info packets will you mail out?

How many SUCCESS MINDSET audios or books will you read?
How many training audios will you listen to?

I could go on and on here with things you could add to your plan. Be detailed, write it down, add things as you need to and keep moving. Make your plan of action, then take ACTION.

Visualize Yourself Reaching Your Goal
Visualization is very important in working toward reaching your goal. You should do some visualization every day. Try to be as clear and vivid as possible. Visualize what you will be doing and how you will act once you reach your goal. I like to lay in bed before I sleep with a bit of visualization.

A Visualization Tool I Use:
Many years ago I had the idea that I could make a check that looks like my company bonus check. A check written to me in the amount of my goal.
I made a scan of one of my bonus checks and saved it as an image template that I could update as my goal changed. My first income goal was $1,000 a month but I decided that I wanted it to look like a real number rather than a pretend check so I made it $1158.15. I printed it so I could have it visible on my desk so I could see it every day while I work. Once I reached that goal, I made another one for $2158.15. Every time I reached my goal, I made up a new check with another thousand added to it.

In the beginning, having the checks increase by $1,000 seemed easier to believe in. I won’t tell you where I am at today but that I still do this. I always have a check with my current income goal that I am working toward. Having it printed and on my desk makes it easier to visualize it.

Whatever goals you have, keep working toward them. Never give up.
